Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher

Clay Jensen returns home from school to find a mysterious box with his name on it lying on his porch.
Inside he discovers cassette tapes recorded by Hannah Baker--his classmate and crush--who committed suicide two weeks earlier.
On tape, Hannah explains that there are thirteen reasons why she decided to end her life.
Clay is one of the reasons why.
If he listens, he'll find out how he made the list.

Oh. My. God.

This book was so AMAZING. It was amazing to the point where days after I finished the book, I couldn't stop thinking about it. Even when I was reading other books. It was just that powerful that it affected me emotionally. I don't cry when I read books, but this was truly heartwarming... and breaking at the same time. It also got me thinking, how teens end up killing themselves through suicide. What goes through their minds? What causes them to do such a thing which causes so many people to be hurt? There are clearly some factors, and Hannah had Thirteen Reasons Why.

Sure, mostly the list contained guys and what they did to her. But oh, my, god (again). WHAT THEY DID TO HER. I couldn't imagine that ever happening to me. It's quite horrifying that a girl, supposedly that pretty and popular would have that much trouble with life and how different people affect that. How boys used her, and broke her heart. How friends she thought were friends were just using her. How Clay... I won't give the book away. Slowly, little by little, the 13 reasons why Hannah committed suicide come together to form one puzzle which connects with one person (the reason) to another, which becomes a whole circle.

The sad thing is, this could have been prevented. As Hannah mentions in a few of the tapes, she gave warnings. She asked for help. No one helped her. That really just gets to me. I mean, so many suicides today could be prevented, but only if WE help them.

Thirteen Reasons Why will always be stuck in my head. I may forget the reasons, but I will not forget how Hannah struggled through life, how she decided that life just wasn't worth living. It's BEAUTIFULLY written and very well detailed, in a format that's interesting and different from others. Readers will be captivated from the first word to the last, and won't give up on hearing Hannah's story.

Pretties by Scott Westerfeld

Gorgeous. Popular. Perfect. Perfectly wrong.

Tally has finally become pretty. Now her looks are beyond perfect, her clothes are awesome, her boyfriend is totally hot, and she's completely popular. It's everything she's ever wanted.

But beneath all the fun -- the nonstop parties, the high-tech luxury, the total freedom -- is a nagging sense that something's wrong. Something important. Then a message from Tally's ugly past arrives. Reading it, Tally remembers what's wrong with pretty life, and the fun stops cold.

Now she has to choose between fighting to forget what she knows and fighting for her life -- because the authorities don't intend to let anyone with this information survive.

I'm gonna be blunt about it. I didn't enjoy this book for, oh, about half I was reading it.

I really enjoyed the first book, Uglies (review here btw), so I couldn't wait to read this book. But boy, was I wrong. Pretties was weird. Like, they kept on repeating words, which generally gave me a headache. Bogus, Bubbly and Pretty-Making? Yeah, seeing those words repeated often could give ANYONE a headache.

There was nothing wrong with the story line though. The plot was GREAT! except...slightly confusing. I didn't like the new guy though. What was wrong with the original one?! and it was weird how they had to do all that stuff just to be "bubbly". I mean, a girl can only handle so much!
It was interesting to see the new concepts added to this book about the futuristic world, like the floating ice rink in the SKY! I was like, wouldn't it be so awesome if we had that? sure, it would be dangerous, but amazingly fun. I really enjoyed the part where Tally goes to that other tribe thing. It was quite cool, and the least confusing part about the book.

It was kinda weird with the original guy's mom. Ouch. I wouldn't like it if anyone's mom was that hostile to me. And the Original Guy (whose name I still forget to recall)? he seemed more... meaner to Tally. Well, maybe she deserved it. She did turn up with the New Guy.

The book is worth your time though. Trust Me. I still want to finish the series... but I don't know what the other books are like. Maybe, I'll take a little break from the series and continue later. CHOW.

The Van Alen Legacy by Melissa de la Cruz

With the stunning revelation surrounding Bliss's true identity comes the growing threat of the sinister Silver Bloods. Once left to live the glamorous life in New York City, the Blue Bloods now find themselves in an epic battle for survival. Not to worry, love is still in the air for the young vampires of the Upper East Side. Or is it? Jack and Schuyler are over. Oliver's brokenhearted. And only the cunning Mimi seems to be happily engaged.

I found this book, okay by standards. The first book, of course, was amazing, and I found Revelations, the third book, equally so. Although, I really enjoyed Mimi's story in this book. Bliss' was an interesting perception. Schuyler... not so much.

It was kinda cool to see Allegra wake up in this book. But it was a pretty slow-going reunion, so I was pretty bored for the most part. I was like, okay, I don't get this whole mother-daughter bonding connection thingy, so I skipped ahead. I think this and the end were the only two parts where she appeared.

I don't like Jack. I really don't. I don't know, normally, the guy in the story would appeal to moi, but this time NO. I really like Oliver though. and Kingsley Martin :D. I can't see WHY Mimi wants to bond with him so bad, he's not that good a character. Sure he saves her life loads of times, but he doesn't reach out to me, like other book characters (esp. from Meg Cabot's books ;D).

Well, other than that, it was good to see new things revealed, new secrets found out and DYLAN RETURNS! YAY! another guy character I like.

I'm still team Kingsley though.

The Poison Apples by Lily Archer

We all know the stories of Cinderella, Snow White, and Rapunzel.  But have you ever heard of Alice Bingley-Beckerman, Reena Paruchuri, or Molly Miller?  Of course you haven’t.  Not yet.  What these girls have in common with their fairy tale sisters is this:  they are the stepdaughters of three very evil stepmothers.  And they’re not happy about it.  They think they are alone in their unhappiness until they arrive at Putnam Mount McKinsey, a posh boarding school located in lovely rural Massachusetts.  Here is where they will plot their revenge.  But first they have to meet.

In her first novel, Lily Archer tells a knowing, wickedly funny story about how friendship just may turn out to be more happily-ever-after than family.

I found this book amazing as it looks very realistically into the lives of what children – girls – go through when they get a stepmother. Sure, not every case would turn out to be as bad as this, but this book was for the most part pretty hilarious. I love the Penguin part XD.

I like the fact that in the beginning, they all don't become friends immediately, and it's only the fact that they all have evil stepmothers joins them together. I LOVE Reena's brother, gods, there's always one guy in a book isn't there?? *sigh* wish guys were like that in real life.
Another thing I liked about this book is that it takes on the aspect of a fairy tale. It's got

>An Evil Stepmother (3 in fact!)
>A Prized possession (A penguin)
>Handsome Prince Charming (except in Reena's case, a teacher...weird.)
>Happily Ever After (i think?)

so there you have it ladies and gentlemen, the modern fairy tale! LOL. Anyway, The Poison Apples is a quirky, fun and humorous books meant to poke fun at the Evil Stepmothers of today! That's all for now :D

Which Sarah Dessen Character Are You?

I think now I'm obsessed with Sarah Dessen, since I just read my first ever Sarah Dessen book This Lullaby...*sigh* it was a very cute book, can't wait to write a review on it! Hmm...I haven't read any others, so I don't know how this book is...I'm sure it's amazing :D

3 Willows: The Sisterhood Grows by Ann Brashares

summer is a time to grow

seeds
Polly has an idea that she can't stop thinking about, one that involves changing a few things about herself. She's setting her sights on a more glamorous life, but it's going to take all of her focus. At least that way she won't have to watch her friends moving so far ahead.

roots
Jo is spending the summer at her family's beach house, working as a busgirl and bonding with the older, cooler girls she'll see at high school come September. She didn't count on a brief fling with a cute boy changing her entire summer. Or feeling embarrassed by her middle school friends. And she didn't count on her family at all. . .

leaves
Ama is not an outdoorsy girl. She wanted to be at an academic camp, doing research in an air-conditioned library, earning A's. Instead her summer scholarship lands her on a wilderness trip full of flirting teenagers, blisters, impossible hiking trails, and a sad lack of hair products.

It is a new summer. And a new sisterhood. Come grow with them.

When I found out that Ann Brashares had written another book based on The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants I was like WHATT??? I really had no idea. I read The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants in the 6th grade, which was around 3 years ago. I HAD NO CLUE SHE WOULD WRITE ANOTHER BOOK FOR MY AGE GROUP (ish)!

3 Willows talks about three girls (not four, like the sisterhood) and it shows even though how they've grown apart, they'll always be close to one another. The Idea of 3 Willows is that their roots go deep, just like the friendships of these three girls. It does (yay!) mention some of the original sisterhood members, and even an appearance from Lena, Brian (Tibby's Boyfriend), Effie (Lena's Sister), Bridget and Tibby's family (Younger Sister and Brother, and Mom). It was exciting to see (read) the return of the former sisterhood and people associated with them. Effie did have quite a large role in this book for Jo's part and Brian talks to Polly in one part.

I think each story was fascinating in its own way. For Polly's, we want to see whether or not she'll turn out to find that being herself is much better than being a model and that she's not model material, and we hope that her relationship with her mother works out. For Jo, it was finding more about the mysterious, hot guy (who isn't as good as he turned out to be) and how Effie played into this part, and how Jo was feeling about her parent's divorce ("separation"). I liked Ama's story the best, cause she was a normal character, unlike Polly, who was not really liked by anyone, and Jo who was really popular. Ama's story was fascinating as she goes off to camp for trekking through the woods and mountain climbing, even though she wanted to go to a more Academic type of thing. I love, love, LOVED the guy in her story and feel pretty jealous now :P.

3 Willows in an interesting and cute addition to The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, and is one that can be read by slightly younger readers (notice "slightly") as the original sisterhood was more for teens.

Three Act Tragedy by Agatha Christie

The Reverend Stephen Babbington seldom imbibes, but at a gala thrown by actor Sir Charles Cartwright, he indulges in a cocktail and falls over dead. Since there is no trace of poison or foul play, the case is closed . . . until an identical death at a London party arouses the suspicions of Hercule Poirot. Also published as Murder in Three Acts.

This one, I COULDN'T FIGURE OUT. My sister knew who the murderer was before me, even though she didn't read the book or look it up. She guessed and yes, she was right. Normally with the Hercule Poirot books (haven't read Jane Marple's yet...are they good?) I kinda get a sense in who the muderer/person who committed the crime is. This one caught me off guard. It was still fantastic though, and very brain-wracking.

I only started these books by Agatha Christie from the Summer, when I read first Muder in Mesopotamia, another Hercule Poirot Mystery. Oh. My. God. It was so good, and then I kept reading. I had recommendations, on which ones to read, which ones to avoid and which ones were okay. This one was recommended to be read, and plus, I had nothing else better to do, so I just did okay?

It's a fantastic mystery. I loved how it seems like there's a dead end to the case, and there's no way to solve it, but that's the thing I love about Hercule Poirot, he always reveals it and tells how things came to be, from beginning to end, and I'm like "WOAH!" everytime. I mean, she always adds these small details which seem unimportant and insignificant and yet, it's the key to the whole mystery. Very sneaky...

but none the less, Three Act Tragedy was with no doubt, one of the best Hercule Poirot's I've read so far. Because, after all, nothing turns out  to be what it seems...

Which Jane Austen Heroine are You?

Take the Quiz here!

Hmm...I guess I wasn't so surprised with this answer. I've only read a BIT of Persuasion by Jane Austen...it got a little boring and I stopped. But I could see that Anne was a bit different from other Austen girls, like Elizabeth and Emma. They're all headstrong, except for Anne, I guess. But I haven't finished the book, so I don't know if she changes. Maybe I should give it a try! Take the Quiz people, and find out which Jane Austen Heroine YOU are!

Wishlist!

Every Once in a while, I'm gonna post some books that I really want! I know this list could go on and on and on, but I'm using the TOP Teens Books from Chapters.Indigo.ca and other random sites and well, here it goes. (Brace yourself, it could be pages long...actually knowing me, it will)

Pegasus by Robin McKinley

Because of a thousand-year-old alliance between humans and pegasi, Princess Sylviianel is ceremonially bound to Ebon, her own pegasus, on her twelfth birthday. The two species coexist peacefully, despite the language barriers separating them. Humans and pegasi both rely on specially-trained Speaker magicians as the only means of real communication.

But it’s different for Sylvi and Ebon. They can understand each other. They quickly grow close—so close that their bond becomes a threat to the status quo—and possibly to the future safety of their two nations.
I mean seriously, LOOK AT THE COVER. What does this show about me? that's right, I JUDGE BOOKS BY THEIR COVERS. And so far, it's worked out for me. Gosh and I love Greek Mythology btw :D. Do YOU knows any good Greek Mythology books? leave a recommendation in the comments.

The Daughters by Joanna Philbin
The only daughter of supermodel Katia Summers, witty and thoughtful Lizzie Summers likes to stick to the sidelines. The sole heir to Metronome Media and daughter of billionaire Karl Jurgensen, outspoken Carina Jurgensen would rather climb mountains than social ladders. Daughter of chart-topping pop icon Holla Jones, stylish and sensitive Hudson Jones is on the brink of her own music breakthrough. By the time freshman year begins, unconventional-looking Lizzie Summers has come to expect fawning photographers and adoring fans to surround her gorgeous supermodel mother. But when Lizzie is approached by a fashion photographer that believes she's "the new face of beauty," Lizzie surprises herself and her family by becoming the newest Summers woman to capture the media's spotlight.
I really wanna read this book, especially since it was a nominee for the Teen Read Awards...although it didn't win. It seems interesting though, I mean, I loved Secrets of My Hollywood Life by Jen Calonita. It should be something like that...I hope.

Crescendo by Becca Fitzpatrick
Nora should have know her life was far from perfect. Despite starting a relationship with her guardian angel, Patch (who, title aside, can be described anything but angelic), and surviving an attempt on her life, things are not looking up. Patch is starting to pull away and Nora can't figure out if it's for her best interest or if his interest has shifted to her arch-enemy Marcie Millar. Not to mention that Nora is haunted by images of her father and she becomes obsessed with finding out what really happened to him that night he left for Portland and never came home.
The farther Nora delves into the mystery of her father's death, the more she comes to question if her Nephilim blood line has something to do with it as well as why she seems to be in danger more than the average girl. Since Patch isn't answering her questions and seems to be standing in her way, she has to start finding the answers on her own. Relying too heavily on the fact that she has a guardian angel puts Nora at risk again and again. But can she really count on Patch or is he hiding secrets darker than she can even imagine? And what is Rixon hiding?
Oh. My. God. If You don't know how much I loved the first book Hush, Hush...then read the review here. It was amazing. Beyond that actually. and LOOK at the cover! Both covers are equally stunning and the grey makes it even MORE so. Love Love LOVED it and will love it 4eva! cannot WAIT till I get my hands on that book...who has read the book here?? tell me how you found it in the comments. Was it as good as the first book??

I just kinda wanna read this book for fun. The House of Night Books were pretty good. Cannot WAIT for the release of Awakened (look below...it's also on the wishlist) and read a review on Tempted here. The books are okay, this should be fun-ish and I'm sure my friend has already grabbed a copy...she is such a House of Night (GO TEAM STARK!) Fan :P

Halo by Alexandra Adornetto
Three angels are sent down to bring good to the world:
- Gabriel, the warrior;
- Ivy, the healer;
- Bethany, a teenage girl who is the least experienced of the trio.
But she is the most human, and when she is romantically drawn to a mortal boy, the angels fear she will not be strong enough to save anyone—especially herself—from the Dark Forces.
Is love a great enough power against evil?
Oh My God, again, seriously, what is with the covers these days?? they're so attracting and no wonder they become bestsellers. sheesh, who ever designs the covers must be getting a fortune.
Anyway, it seems to be kinda like Hush, Hush in a sense with the Angel thing again (that's what I love about Supernatural/Paranormal Romance...it's not NORMAL). What are your fave supernatural/paranormal romance books? COMMENT!

Zombie vs. Unicorns by Various Authors
It's a question as old as time itself: which is better, the zombie or the unicorn? In this anthology, edited by Holly Black and Justine Larbalestier (unicorn and zombie, respectively), strong arguments are made for both sides in the form of short stories. Half of the stories portray the strengths--for good and evil--of unicorns and half show the good (and really, really bad-ass) side of zombies. Contributors include many bestselling teen authors, including Cassandra Clare, Libba Bray, Maureen Johnson, Meg Cabot, Scott Westerfeld, and Margo Lanagan. This anthology will have everyone asking: Team Zombie or Team Unicorn?
I have read books by Cassandra Clare (The Mortal Instruments), Libba Bray (The Gemma Doyle Trilogy), Meg Cabot (All Her Books) and Scott Westerfeld (Uglies). I. Cannot. WAIT. to get this book! I love how they put a whole bunch of stories by authors that everyone loves in one book! It's like a dream come true!! Which of these authors do you like?

Awakened by PC and Kristen Cast

At the start of Awakened, the pulse-pounding eighth installment of the bestselling House of Night series, Zoey has returned, mostly whole, from the Otherworld to her rightful place as High Priestess at the House of Night. Her friends are just glad to have her back, but after losing her human consort, Heath, will Zoey - or her relationship with her super-hot Warrior, Stark - ever be the same? Stevie Rae is drawn even closer to Rephaim, the Raven Mocker with whom she shares a mysterious and powerful Imprint, but he is a dangerous secret that isolates her from her school, her red fledglings, and even her best friends. When the dark threat of Neferet - who is coming closer and closer to achieving her twisted goal of immortality - and Kalona returns, what will it take to keep the House of Night from being lost forever, and what will one desperate girl do to keep her heart from being irreparably broken?
I know when the time comes, I will eventually bring myself to read these books. The last book, Burned, was pretty boring. I just hope that this book will be with much more action...

The Gathering by Kelley Armstrong

First book in the new series by Kelley Armstrong meant as a follow up of her Darkest Powers trilogy.

Maya lives in a small medical-research town on Vancouver Island. How small? You can’t find it on the map. It has less than two-hundred people, and her school has only sixty-eight students—for every grade from kindergarten to twelve.
Now, strange things are happening in this claustrophobic town, and Maya's determined to get to the bottom of them. First, the captain of the swim team drowns mysteriously in the middle of a calm lake. A year later, mountain lions start appearing around Maya's home, and they won’t go away. Her best friend, Daniel, starts getting negative vibes from certain people and things. It doesn't help that the new bad boy in town, Rafe, has a dangerous secret—and he's interested in one special part of Maya's anatomy: Her paw-print birthmark.
When I finished the Darkest Powers trilogy, I was really sad...cause I didn't want it to end! but the Kelley Armstrong is writing another teen series! I could not believe my eyes... that ten million fireflies XD jks. Anyway, I couldn't believe it when I saw that she's writing these books :) so maybe not all good things come to an end... okay. Enough with me and my song references...
Angel by James Patterson
In the seventh book in the bestselling series, evil scientists are still trying to convince Max that she needs to save the world, this time by providing the genetic link in speeding up the pace of evolution. Worse, they're trying to convince her that her perfect mate is Dylan, the newest addition to the flock. The problem is that, despite herself, Max is starting to believe it. Fang travels the country collecting his own gang of evolved humans, but the two separate flocks must unite to defeat a frightening doomsday cult whose motto is Save the Planet: Kill the Humans. And this time, the true heroine, for once, might just be little Angel.
OMG!!! I luvvvved this book! The last book was kinda sad...with Fang leaving :( I mean, he was soooo amazing, sigh...loved him. Anyway, these books are so action-packed and really fast-paced and I love the fact that even GUYS love and read these books. This is a perfect book for everyone :D So girls out there, are u Fangalicious? jks, got that from the blog sometime ago XD. OH, btw, I have a review on The Angel Experiment, the first book of the Maximum Ride series, so click here to read it!
The Lying Game by Sara Shepard

But as Emma is drawn deeper into Sutton’s world she finds the friends are not so fabulous, the boyfriend is not who she wants to be with, and the family is clinging to long-buried secrets and a veneer of functionality. And worst of all, Sutton may not be coming back. In fact, someone may have made sure she never could…and that someone knows Emma is not who she claims to be. Emma will need all her wits to survive The Lying Game.
One of the best books I've ever read, by an AMAZING author, Pretty Little Liars was suspenseful, cliff-hanging and left everyone for more. When Wanted, the last book came out, Shepard announced a new series: The Lying Game. It seems as promising and Ohmygod I CANNOT WAIT TILL THIS BOOK COMES OUT!!! I just hope its AS suspenseful....and isn't that cover gorgeous?? yeah, i thought so too. Read a review on Pretty Little Liars here and Flawless, the second book, here.

Matched by Ally Condie
In the Society, Officials decide. Who you love. Where you work. When you die.
Cassia has always trusted their choices. It’s barely any price to pay for a long life, the perfect job, the ideal mate. Now Cassia is faced with impossible choices: between Xander and Ky, between the only life she’s known and a path no one else has ever dared follow—between perfection and passion.
This seems pretty intense. Kinda like the Pretties series or The Hunger Games trilogy (wasn't the trilogy amazing?? luved it!), in a sense that it seems to be based in the future – a post apocalyptic book. It sound interesting and again, with my cover thing, it makes me wanna read it even more.

Entrancing, empowering, and romantic, Ash is about the connection between life and love, and solitude and death, where transformation can come from even the deepest grief.
I love fairy retellings. It's amazing how so many different variations can come from one simple story...and one that's read to children to night! There are so many different variations I've read, like The Poison Apples by Lily Archer which can kinda be based on Cinderella as well, and Snow White. One of the best authors who has done several fairy tale retellings would be Gail Carson Levine, best known for Ella Enchanted. Her book Fairest is an AMAZING retelling of Snow White and it was sooo good. READ IT!

History of Espionage takes on an entirely new meaning as Cammie and her friends go looking for answers, recognizing that the key to Cammie’s future may lie deep in the past.
I know, I know, I KNOW. I've been wanting to get this book for ages, but IT'S NEVER THERE. I can never seem to read it :( sad rite?? well, anyway, you can read a review on Don't Judge a Girl by Her Cover here.

Nightshade by Andrea Cremer
While other teenage girls daydream about boys, Calla Tor imagines ripping out her enemies’ throats. And she wouldn’t have it any other way. Calla was born a warrior and on her eighteenth-birthday she’ll become the alpha female of the next generation of Guardian wolves. This human boy’s secret will turn the young pack's world upside down and forever alter the outcome of the centuries-old Witches' War that surrounds them all.
You know the drill. COVER. IS. FANTASTIC and SOOOOOO EYE CATCHING! I swear, I think I'll jude books by their covers for the rest of my life, and that mean that I'll be reading non-stop cause there are SO MANY GOOD COVERS!!! sigh..what happened to the good old days, where covers were simple and people read them and judged them by the text not the cover? Anyway, this seems like another really interesting and possibly-fantastic paranormal/supernatural romance (was it a romance? cause it seemed like a romance by the blurb) and it's definitely one of the tops of my wishlist...which I should ask someone *ehem* dad to buy for me when he goes on another trip.
The Eternal Ones by Kristen Miller
Haven Moore can't control her visions of a past with a boy called Ethan, and a life in New York that ended in fiery tragedy. In our present, she designs beautiful dresses for her classmates with her best friend Beau. Dressmaking keeps her sane, since she lives with her widowed and heartbroken mother in her tyrannical grandmother's house in Snope City, a tiny town in Tennessee. Then an impossible group of coincidences conspire to force her to flee to New York, to discover who she is, and who she was.
In New York, Haven meets Iain Morrow and is swept into an epic love affair that feels both deeply fated and terribly dangerous. Iain is suspected of murdering a rock star and Haven wonders, could he have murdered her in a past life? She visits the Ouroboros Society and discovers a murky world of reincarnation that stretches across millennia. Haven must discover the secrets hidden in her past lives, and loves – before all is lost and the cycle begins again.
This book seems very suspenseful. Seems like an interesting read and goes onto the concepts of afterlife...in a sense. It just seems like a maddening question; who is this guy and did he or did he NOT kill her?? I hope it's like cliff-hangy and stuff. That just makes me even more eager to read the book.

I Am Number Four by Pittacus Lore
Nine of us came here. We look like you. We talk like you. We live among you. But we are not you. We can do things you dream of doing. We have powers you dream of having. We are stronger and faster than anything you have ever seen. We are the superheroes you worship in movies and comic books—but we are real.
Our plan was to grow, and train, and become strong, and become one, and fight them. But they found us and started hunting us first. Now all of us are running. Spending our lives in shadows, in places where no one would look, blending in. we have lived among you without you knowing.
But they know.
They caught Number One in Malaysia.
Number Two in England.
And Number Three in Kenya.
They killed them all.
I am Number Four.
I am next.
I will admit, the blurb DID scare me. It seems well, like something's out to get you if you don't read the book. It seems amazing though. And they're making a movie out of it! when I found out about the movie, I was like "WHAT'S WRONG WITH ME?? WHY HAVEN'T I READ THIS BOOK YET?!?" I will get my hands on this book.
You'll see.

The Sky is Everywhere by Jandy Nelson
Seventeen-year-old Lennie Walker, bookworm and band geek, plays second clarinet and spends her time tucked safely and happily in the shadow of her fiery older sister, Bailey. But when Bailey dies abruptly, Lennie is catapulted to center stage of her own life--and, despite her nonexistent history with boys, suddenly finds herself struggling to balance two. Toby was Bailey's boyfriend; his grief mirrors Lennie's own. Joe is the new boy in town, a transplant from Paris whose nearly magical grin is matched only by his musical talent. For Lennie, they're the sun and the moon; one boy takes her out of her sorrow, the other comforts her in it. This seems kinda sweet and simple, not a book involving Vampires, Werewolves and Witches OH MY!. It seems like a book that I would really dig into and find easy to flow and understand, not something heavy where every character dies (except the main one of course) and then they have to bring back everyone and blah blah blah blah BLAH. I mean, seriously, I think I deserve a break people. That's probably why I wanna read this book so bad.

Reply in the Comments and I'll Maybe try out your wishlist as well!
